LieLow Music Fest:

Code Of Conduct

The LieLow Code of Conduct goes into detail and outlines the values, principles and standards that will guide all of our actions and interactions. We pledge to provide welcoming, accessible and safe environments for our community’s enjoyment within the entire spectrum of events, installations and shared spaces that LieLow is involved with and curates.  The core of LieLow principles is the positive engagement of our community, and the growth and development of all artistic and creative movements.

The Code of Conduct is our promise of an ethical directive in all of our applications. LieLow staff, Artists and Talent are required to understand and agree to this Code of Conduct in relation to all activities associated with LieLow.

LieLow’s Responsibilities

LieLow is a critical link between our membership artists, creatives, the local community and visiting artists. With this responsibility, we are always representing or mediating many levels of interaction between our artists, locals, performers, musicians and anyone who is invested in the LieLow land and community. The founders, directors and leaders of LieLow understand that we are responsible for safe practices in a professional manner, and for the ethical and positive engagement of all affiliated artists and community.

LieLow is committed to the creation of positive, inclusive, dynamic, and engaging art and culture. We partner with local communities or collaborators interested in the creation of authentic experiences fueled by diverse expressions of performance, ability, and creativity. We believe that through continued and sustainable links between conscious artists and creatives, we can encourage positive social links that better the Village of Milo, the province, and the region where we live. We strive to create vibrancy, immediacy and positivity for all.

LieLows Values as a Collective

LieLow has developed this Code of Conduct for the support of our artists and community. We realize that we cannot create a Code of Conduct and policies to cover all possible situations. However, we can build a foundation based on trust and respect where our principles guide us and can help us to do the right thing.

In accordance with our Code of Conduct, we would like to express our consideration and respect for all our artists’ speeches and actions. We at LieLow ask that you keep conversations professional, and respectful and consider other parties’ points of view. Remember that the boundaries of good taste, humour, personal space and physical interaction differ from person to person. As a community let's actively be respectful of all boundaries in every situation. This is what LieLow is actively adhering to as we continue to build our community relationships.
